Ceiling Fans

An economical way to reduce your energy costs is to have ceiling fans installed in your home. A fan can assist in warming up a room in the winter in addition to keeping you cool in the summer. You can significantly reduce your annual energy consumption by doing this.

Summer and Winter use
The majority of contemporary ceiling fans have a switch on the side that lets you alter the direction the blades
are spinning. You should rotate the blades counterclockwise in the summer. This enables the fan to force air downward,
producing a breeze or cooling effect. During winter, turn the fan clockwise by flipping the switch on the side of the fan. This allows warm air to circulate the room.

At Anchor Electric & Air we can supply and install the following types of fans in any room:

  • Indoor

  • Outdoor Fans

  • Fans with a Light

  • Wooden, Stainless Steel, Acrylic, or Plywood

  • Industrial, Modern, and Scandinavian Styles

  • Remote Controlled

DC fans are a modern and favourite option for most people, they are much more quiet and energy efficient.
Remote operated with 6 speed options and colour changing bright LED lighting. The sleek looking option that
costs slightly more than the common AC fan.

Switchboard Upgrades and Safety Switches

Anchor Electric & Air provides expert switchboard upgrade services for residential and commercial properties
in the Gold Coast area.

Our team of certified electricians can handle every facet of your switchboard upgrades, making sure that
everything is done safely, legally, and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and Australian standards.

The benefits of replacing an outdated fuse board include:

  • Safety – Outdated systems can pose a risk to your family – update them to protect your family and sleep safe at night knowing you’ve done everything possible to reduce risk of fires due to loose wiring or overheating.

  • Safety switch installation – Safety switches provide advanced protection for your family by providing the ability to cut the electricity automatically and immediately in the case of an emergency. This additional protection also can save your appliances. We recommend installing a safety switch on every electrical circuit.

  • Increased electrical demand – Modern homes require a lot more electricity than older fuse boards are built to handle, which can lead to overheating, frequent circuit breaker trips, and an elevated fire risk.

  • Repeated short circuits – If the power goes out frequently, you may have a problem with your switchboard. We will assess and fix these issues.

  • Bespoke design – We can custom design an upgraded switchboard to suit the specific needs of your business or home.

  • Surge protection – safeguarding your home and appliances from power surges caused by electrical storms or faults in the mains grid system.
